We specialize in only the countries we personally know, such as Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific islands. Born and raised on an outback sheep and cattle station near Goondiwindi in Queensland, Dick then spent 20 years in the world renowned harbour city of Sydney, leading American and Asian global commodity procurement teams.
This work involved extensive travel globally, which developed his understanding of cultural dynamics and international travel processes, as well as providing first hand exposure to trouble-shooting unforeseen circumstances when travelling. He believes the advantages associated with, and the importance of having local support in your country of destination is paramount.
Dick is a self-confessed people person and thrives on hand-crafting itineraries for his clients, which combine the iconic highlights of his magnificent country and its’ neighbours, with unique local experiences and personal recommendations.

Born and raised in New Zealand, Selena brings a vast local knowledge of must-see hotspots and local secrets in this idyllic destination.
Selena’s passion for travel runs in her blood and has taken her to over 20 countries around the globe. It has also seen her live in both cities and regional areas of four different countries prior to settling in Toowoomba, Australia to raise her family. It is due to her love of people and cultures that Selena takes every opportunity to immerse herself in local customs to learn, explore and see the world through travel.
Selena’s professional background is in customer service and administration so she appreciates the importance of attention to detail and going the extra mile to ensure the Journey Earth experience is, quite simply, extraordinary.
Selena joined Journey Earth in the beginning of 2017 and thrives on developing and executing bespoke itineraries for travel to her favourite destinations - Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Born, raised and educated in Sydney, Penny also spent six months living in the idyllic country town of Mudgee in one of the wine-growing regions of New South Wales, and now lives in Toowoomba, Queensland with her husband Dick and three children.
Apart from continually exploring and experiencing the diverse offerings of her homeland - Australia, Penny has also explored 36 other countries so far on six of the seven continents (Antarctica remains on the wish list), including the South Pacific countries of New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji, Tonga, New Caledonia, Cook Islands and Vanuatu.
In addition to her extensive travel experience Penny also has a Degree in Tourism Management, a Diploma in Export Management and has been a qualified travel consultant since 1991.
In her 20's, Penny spent six months sailing the Australian tall ship "Young Endeavour" from New York to Sydney, through the Panama Canal and making port in many island nations throughout the Caribbean and Pacific including Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Galapagos Islands and many islands of the beautiful South Pacific.

Born and raised in Queensland, Sharan has combined her professional expertise with a lifelong passion for travel and exploration. Her desire to learn and travel was discovered as a teenager during an exchange program travelling through Europe and living in Germany, this ignited a passion not only for the wonders of the world, but also to discover and immerse in the countless, incredible destinations within Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.
Since then, Sharan has travelled extensively throughout Australia, visiting every state and territory multiple times. Some of her most cherished experiences include sailing the Whitsundays by catamaran, exploring Australia’s cultural heart at Uluru and Kata Tjuta, and a memorable family campervan holiday discovering New Zealand’s South Island.
With a career in travel since 2018 and a proud team member of Journey Earth since 2023, Sharan brings a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to crafting personalised, luxurious, and inspiring itineraries. She takes great pride in understanding each client’s unique interests, style, and budget, ensuring every journey is as seamless as it is unforgettable.

Born and raised in Queensland, Simone’s passion for travel started young when she lived and went to school in Canada as a teenager. Since then, she has lived in Whistler in Canada and Cornwall in the UK and has travelled to over 44 countries.
Simone has been a qualified travel consultant since 1993 and prides herself on her personable service and extensive industry knowledge.
Simone joined the Journey Earth team in 2023. She loves selling the beauty of her backyard and delights in providing luxurious accommodation and touring experiences for her clients.
