Penny Webster - Principal

BA (Tourism Management), Diploma in Export Management

Born, raised and educated in Sydney, Penny also spent six months living in the idyllic country town of Mudgee - in the one of the wine-growing regions of New South Wales and now lives in Toowoomba, Queensland with her husband - Dick and 3 children.

Apart from regularly exploring and experiencing the diverse offerings of her homeland - Australia, with family and friends, Penny has also explored 35 different countries so far on six of the seven continents (Antarctica remains a dream), including the South Pacific countries of New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji, Tonga, New Caledonia, Cook Islands and Vanuatu.

In addition to her extensive travel experience Penny also has a Degree in Tourism Management  and has been a qualified specialist travel consultant since 1991.

In her 20's, Penny spent six months sailing the Australian tall ship "Young Endeavour" from New York to Sydney, through the Panama Canal and making port in many island nations throughout the Caribbean and Pacific including Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Galapagos Islands and many islands of the beautiful South Pacific.

Dick Webster - Co-owner

Diploma in Export Management

Born and raised on an outback sheep and cattle station near Goondiwindi in Queensland, Dick then spent 20 years in the world renowned harbour city of Sydney, leading American and Asian global commodity procurement teams.

This work involved extensive travel globally, which developed his understanding of cultural dynamics and international travel processes, as well as providing first hand exposure to trouble-shooting unforeseen circumstances when travelling. He believes the advantages associated with, and the importance of having local support in your country of destination is paramount.

Dick is a self-confessed people person and thrives on hand-crafting itineraries for his clients, which combine the iconic highlights of his magnificent country and its’ neighbours, with unique local experiences and personal recommendations.

Selena Petyt - Office Manager

Born and raised in New Zealand, Selena brings a vast local knowledge of must-see hotspots and local secrets in this idyllic destination.

Selena’s passion for travel runs in her blood and has taken her to over 20 countries around the globe. It has also seen her live in both cities and regional areas of 4 different countries prior to settling in Toowoomba, Australia to raise her family. It is due to her love of people and cultures that Selena takes every opportunity to immerse herself in local customs to learn, explore and see the world through travel.

Selena’s professional background is in customer service and administration so she appreciates the importance of attention to detail and going the extra mile to ensure the Journey Earth experience is, quite simply, extraordinary.

Selena joined Journey Earth in the beginning of 2017 and thrives on developing and executing bespoke itineraries for travel to her favourite destinations - Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Anita McGrath - Travel Specialist 

Bachelor of Business

Born & raised in Queensland, Anita started travelling at the first opportunity. With the “travel bug” very quickly and deeply entrenched in her system, she makes the most of every opportunity and has now ticked every state in Australia, as well as 24 other countries worldwide, off her bucket list, with many more to follow!

Armed with a Bachelor of Business, Anita’s career in the travel industry began in 2004, when she started with Flight Centre as a travel consultant. Her 12 years of experience and success saw her recognised by executive management for outstanding operational performance, dedication and revenue generation. This resulted in her promotion to store manager and in this position, Anita was honoured with “Most Improved” store (twice), and consequently rewarded with tickets to the Flight Centre Global Ball in Hawaii and the USA to celebrate.

Following the birth of her son and taking a short break from formal employment, Anita returned to travel joining the team at Journey Earth in March 2018 in the capacity of senior travel consultant. She loves sharing her personal and professional knowledge to create the perfect travel experience for her clients.
